Principal’s Message

Home of the Saints

Welcome to the St. Bernadette Catholic School website for the 2016-2017 school year.  This website is intended to inform you about our school community and the wonderful activities for our students.  Please take the time to review this site on a regular basis, as our newsletter will posted every month.

We consider it a privilege to educate your children in our Catholic School system.  We know that parental support is integral to your child’s success.  For the benefit of your child we need to work collaboratively.

Our goal at St. Bernadette, is to encourage our students to become the best they can be academically, spiritually and physically and to develop their gifts and talents.  We attempt to access the best resources, activities and experiences possible for our students.  We focus on building community within our classrooms, school and the greater community at large.  Students are encouraged, from their early years at St. Bernadette, to help others and to build positive relationships with others.  We focus school wide on St. Bernadette’s charter of respect and recognize students for demonstrating these virtues.

We are very fortunate to work closely with St. Joseph’s Parish.  This relationship allows our students to form a strong connection with the church and our faith.  Under the guidance of our pastors, Father Tom, Brian and Shane, the students have many opportunities to grow as faithful disciples of the Risen Lord.  Masses and celebrations are held throughout the year and parents and guardians are always welcome to attend.

I look forward to working with you in supporting your child’s learning and development.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at the school.

A. Simoes
