Good Morning;

The new theme for the Umbrella Project for October is Empathy. This is defined as the ability to share and understand the feelings of another. This is an important skill for students to develop. Please watch the video located on how to help your child(ren) develop empathy: Teaching Empathy to Children   Later this week we will be recognizing our students who have demonstrated Empathy and will be introducing our new skill.

On Thursday, October 31st our students will be invited to wear their costumes to school.  Please be mindful of the costumes your child is wearing.  Costumes cannot promote violence or have accessories or props that could be used as a weapon.  As well, masks or suggestive costumes are not permitted including clown costumes.

Progress Reports will be going home next week.  Please review with your child(ren) all of the wonderful attributes they are showcasing this year.  Embedded into the progress report are next steps for each students to help move your child(ren) forward in learning.  We have attached links regarding achievement for your review: Copy of 1 SEPT – Categories of Knowledge and Skills
