Good evening BEARS Families and Friends,
December is here. In this week at glance we have messages about Advent and our Umbrella Project theme.
As the Advent season begins, we are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas~the coming of Jesus’ birth and all that it brings. Here is a link to the Vatican News with a message from Pope Francis and finding Jesus in the needs of others. https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2019-12/pope-francis-angelus-advent-journey-reflection.html
The Umbrella Theme for the month of December is Cognitive Flexibility. Cognitive flexibility is our ability to change our strategies when we face new and unexpected situations. It’s our brain’s capacity to make sense of the unfamiliar, to pivot and thrive in uncertainty. It’s important for innovating, coming up with new ideas and solving problems, and is essential to creativity. It also helps us accept and understand people and situations that are different from ours. ~ Dr. Jen, The Umbrella Project https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B-0zl4RqWs
