1. The large and beautiful Pilgrim Cross of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board has been traveling from school to school and parish to parish in our region. It is currently at our school, St. Bernadette, and tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 2, the students of Grades 7 and 8 will carry it in procession from the school to the Church. We will receive the Pilgrim Cross at the doors of the Church at 11:00 am. It would be a wonderful sign of our faith and an encouragement to our young people if there were people here to welcome them. I hope some of you can be present for this special event.

 2. The Church will remain open all day Saturday from 8:00 am (with Mass at 9:00 am) to 6:00 pm.following the Saturday, evening 5:00 pm Mass. You may want to consider dropping in with your children or grandchildren and give them a chance to talk to you about their experiences of the Pilgrim Cross.

 3. This Pilgrim Cross will be the “centerpiece” for our Memorial Mass and Service on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 5:00 pm. I hope you can join us for this annual celebration in which we remember and pray for our loved ones who have preceded us into the fullness of God’s Kingdom of Light and Love.
