Information about the Council and self-nomination form can be access using this link: School Council Package
Nomination Forms are Due:  September 16th.

The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 24th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in our meeting room. Hope to see you there!

Safety Reminders – Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

To ensure the safety of staff, students and visitors to our school, we are asking your cooperation in following arrival and dismissal procedures. These are the same procedures that we have been announcing in our newsletters.

The side parking lot is not to be used to walk through to go to the back yard in the morning nor it is to be used to go home.  This area is very busy during both times of the day with cars coming in and out.  We ask that you use the sidewalk near the JK/SK fenced area.

Our back yard is supervised by a staff member beginning at 8:40 a.m.  Do not arrive at school earlier than 8:40 a.m. because we don’t have anyone to ensure the safety of your child(ren).  At the end of the day, students are expected to leave school grounds upon dismissal.

Supervision for our kindergarten students begin at 8:50 a.m.  We are requesting that your child does not come earlier than 8:50 a.m. and when you arrive,  please drop off your child with the supervisor and move on.

Since the beginning of school, we have noticed an increase in the amount of parents at the back yard prior to school.  We don’t want to sound unwelcoming however this is safety issue.  Please say your goodbyes at the gate or at the Lorne Avenue sidewalk in front of the school.  Your presence at the backyard may fear with some of our students since they don’t know who you are.   Staff members are on sight as supervisors to help your child if you are concerned.    Parents or caregivers do not have access to the back yard.

Lastly, the front parking lot is closed during arrival and dismissal.  We will not allow any cars to enter or leave during this time.  This include any pedestrian traffic.  Please use the sidewalk on Lorne Avenue.

We appreciate your cooperation!
