Dear families,

Greetings! We hope that you are all well, and that all in our parish and school communities have a blessed Holy Week.  We have enjoyed being able to join the school virtually for prayer throughout lent.

Good Friday – April 2

In related news, our Diocese has put together a fantastic Holy Week resource for families. These prayer and conversation suggestions may be used as a supplement to in-person worship, or if you are celebrating only from home. Go to to check them out.

May the peace of Christ be with you always.

Hello St. Bernadette Families,

On Thursday April 1st, St. Bernadette is having our Picture Day.  The school has been working with Lifetouch Photography to ensure that this yearly tradition is done safely and according to public health protocols.  This means that only individual student photos will be taken and all ordering is done online.  There will not be sibling  or whole class pictures taken this year.

Individual and Grade 8 graduation picture will be taken on the same day.

WCDSB Budget Survey

WCDSB would like your input for the 2021-2022 budget.

The purpose of this brief budget survey is to gain feedback from stakeholders with respect to Board priorities. While we cannot accommodate all requests, we do want to know what is important to stakeholders which will help guide our decisions. The Thought Exchange will be open until March 26th. Please click on the link below to access the survey. Your input is valued and appreciated!

The questions and links are here:

1. Understanding that the Board priorities are intended to support Graduation rates, Well-Being and Faith Formation. Please identify what you feel is the MOST important area for investment within the budget in order to achieve our priorities?

2. Understanding that the Board priorities are intended to support Graduation rates, Well-Being and Faith Formation. Where do you think the Board could obtain savings or efficiencies?

Dear St. Bernadette Families,

I wish to provide an important reminder that Public Health requires parents to screen their children before coming to school.  If your child has any COVID symptom they and their siblings must stay home to isolate until,

  • They receive a negative COVID-19 test result.
  • They receive an alternative diagnosis by a health care professional, or
  • It has been 10 days since their symptoms began and they are feeling better.

If a family member has any COVID symptoms students must stay home until the member has had a negative test result or they have isolated for 14 days.

If a student or family member has tested positive, all family members and students must quarantine and isolate for 14 days.

IMPORTANT:   If your child is away from school due to any COVID concerns you must call the school to inform us that they have received a negative test or the symptomatic person in the house has tested negative for COVID, before they can return to school.

You can complete the Ontario school screen using the link below

Thank you, Together we will keep our students and staff safe.
