St. Bernadette Newswire: Thank You!

THANK YOU

Thank you to our amazing and talented St. Bernadette students for sharing your gifts as you entertained a gymnasium filled with families. Our Christmas Concert 2018 was a huge success. Special thank you to Mrs. Cowan for fostering the spirit of Christmas through her leadership. Thanks too to the staff and students who helped behind the scenes with lighting, music, set-up and supervision. To the many, many families who took the time to spend the afternoon with us; it was wonderful to see you supporting our students.

May the spirit  of Christmas bring you peace, the gladness of Christmas give you hope and the warmth of Christmas bring you and your family love.   Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

St. Bernadette Newswire: Week At A Glance Dec. 17th – 21st

Good Evening BEARS Families and Friends,
The last three weeks have represented for many the period of waiting for the birth of Christ.  It is a period of anticipation, of seeking light, of responding to our call to care for others less fortunate. During the past number of weeks there have been many activities at out school to both prepare for Christmas and to reach out to those in need. We demonstrate who we are as a faith community through these activities. These are the true gifts that make the difference in the life of someone else. Thank you to all for what you do. Thank you too for your continued support of our learners.   Over the next week please take the time to be with your loved ones. May you have a joyous Christmas.

The St. Bernadette Lost and Found will be on display in the foyer this week.   We have many items that need to be claimed.  There are hats, mitts, shoes, sweaters, pants, water bottles, etc., etc., etc.  All items will be on display until the Christmas break.   Please take some time to come in and claim any missing items.

We are busy putting the finishing touches on our Christmas Concert 2018.  Our concert is Thursday December 20th  at 1:00 p.m. in the gym.  We ask that you arrive early since seating may be limited.  Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. We also kindly ask if you will be attending that you stay for the entire show and not leave early so we are not interrupting the concert.   Our students have been practicing diligently and are very excited to perform for our community.  We look forward to seeing you for this special event

Our Angel Tree initiative allows us to spread Christmas cheer to families over the holiday season.  Each year we collect monetary donations, gift cards and gifts.  It is not too late to donate.  For more information, please read 2018 Angel tree notice and also about our Christmas Food Drive.  Thank you for your kindness!

One other reminder….. please make sure you have returned the Box of Cards or $33.00 cash.  We are making phone calls to remind families and we are hoping to have the fundraiser completed prior to our break.

Thanks again!
